Its eight voices offer a massive sonic palette, from glassy FM textures to thick, saturated leads that benefit significantly from the genuine analog OTA filters and three stages of analog distortion. The build quality is exceptional, featuring a rugged metal chassis and high-quality encoders that provide just the right amount of resistance. For sound designers, the modulation matrix is deep, though navigating it via the small OLED screen can feel a bit tedious compared to the immediate tactile control of the primary oscillators and filters. The 'Animate' buttons are a standout feature, allowing for instant, drastic timbral shifts during a performance. While it faces stiff competition from the likes of ASM or Sequential, the Peak holds its own by sounding consistently 'expensive.' It's a workhorse for professional producers who need one poly-synth that can cover nearly any genre.
