Sintetizador analógico polifónico de 16 voces con filtros Curtis, potente matriz de modulación y capacidad bi-tímbrica para un diseño de sonido analógico profundo y rico.
The Prophet Rev2 is the undisputed workhorse of the modern analog polyphonic world. While it shares DNA with the Prophet '08, the Rev2 feels like a complete refinement of that vision. The build quality is quintessential Sequential: a rugged steel chassis with elegant wood end cheeks and a premium Fatar keybed that responds beautifully to expressive playing. Sonically, the Rev2 is defined by its Curtis filters. These offer a distinct, sharp character that cuts through a mix with a 'brassy' edge, though some purists might find them less 'creamy' than the discrete filters found on the Prophet-6. However, the sheer depth of the modulation matrix"boasting four LFOs and three envelopes per voice"elevates this from a simple subtractive synth to a sound designer's dream. The ability to layer two 8-voice patches creates textures so dense they border on cinematic. The DCOs offer rock-solid tuning, and while they lack the inherent instability of VCOs, the 'Slop' parameter does a convincing job of adding vintage character. For the gigging professional or the studio producer needing a versatile analog centerpiece without the $3,500 price tag of flagship models, the Rev2 is nearly impossible to beat. Its only real trade-off is a slightly more 'modern' and clinical tone compared to its more expensive vintage-inspired siblings.
