The Dreadbox Nymphes is a six-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer that delivers warm, lush tones from a remarkably compact and affordable package, designed for players who want genuine analog polyphony without the size or cost of larger instruments. The fully analog signal path features a single oscillator per voice with sub-oscillator, a resonant low-pass filter, and a rich, organic sound character that is distinctly different from digital emulations. Seven preset voice modes allow the oscillator to be configured for different waveform combinations including sawtooth, pulse, and sub combinations, each producing a noticeably different tonal foundation. The LFO section, two envelopes, and a reverb effect add movement and spatial depth to the sound. MIDI control is the primary interface, as the unit has no built-in keyboard, allowing it to be paired with any MIDI controller. The compact desktop format takes minimal space, and the metal chassis feels solid despite the light weight.
