Overview
The Genelec 8010A is an ultra-compact bi-amplified active studio monitor featuring a 3-inch woofer and a 3/4-inch metal dome tweeter, designed for monitoring in environments where space is extremely limited and portability is essential. Powered by 25 watts of total amplification, the 8010A delivers a frequency response from 67 Hz to 25 kHz with the characteristically neutral and honest Genelec sound that has been a reference standard in professional audio for decades. Despite its remarkably small size " it can literally fit in the palm of a hand " the 8010A produces a surprisingly full, detailed sound with accurate imaging and a defined midrange that makes it useful for critical listening, editing, and referencing in mobile recording situations, broadcast trucks, editing suites, and secondary monitoring positions. The die-cast aluminum Minimum Diffraction Enclosure provides excellent acoustic performance by eliminating sharp cabinet edges that cause diffraction artifacts. The Iso-Pod rubber isolation stand decouples the monitor from the surface it sits on and allows precise angle adjustment.
