The JBL 305P MkII is a bi-amplified near-field studio monitor featuring a 5-inch woofer and a 1-inch Slip Stream high-frequency driver, utilizing JBL's patented Image Control Waveguide technology to deliver a remarkably wide and precise stereo image. The waveguide shapes the dispersion pattern to provide a wide sweet spot and consistent off-axis response, meaning the stereo imaging and tonal balance remain accurate even when the listener moves away from the ideal center position. Powered by 82 watts of total Class D amplification " 41 watts per driver " the 305P MkII delivers a balanced, detailed sound with a smooth midrange, controlled high end, and surprisingly solid bass extension for a 5-inch monitor. The Boundary EQ switch on the rear panel attenuates low frequencies to compensate for desk or wall proximity, and the HF trim switch allows fine adjustment of the treble response.
